We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful...
Well howdy there again C.O.T. Agents (and Spies). You may have noticed a lack of Electric Blogaloo updates since last Sunday. Or, you may not have. Either way, here's an explanation (as well as yr update):
    1. I've been going to even yet still more school (this time to get my frickin' teaching credential). To do this, I must travel an hour and a half away. Thus, I've been doggone tired Agents (and Spies). Too tired to write the dang Blog.
    2. I've been pondering whether or not I really want to teach. I hated teachers when I was an elementary and high school student. I hated people who were studying to be teachers when I was an undergraduate and graduate student. Now...I feel pretty much the same. I've been asking myself if it's worth 10 more months of school just so I can save 1 or 2 kids from the psychic warfare happening in America. I mean, the kids will probably save themselves without any help (I did). Maybe I should just be looking out for me and mine. Of course, that selfish fucking attitude is the reason we're in the fucking mess we're in presently. In other words...I've been (if you can believe it) even more self-absorped that usual.
    3. I've also had some good days recently. Today was a good day (I didn't have to use my AK). I listened to The Go Betweens' 16 Lovers Lane three frickin' times in its entirety on my Sony Walkman. I just walked around Yreka and smelled the smoke from woodstoves and watched leaves committing suicide and went to the cemetery and was very content. My Sony Walkman keeps me from climbing atop a four story building with an assault rifle and firing upon the unsuspecting pedestrians in Yreka. Well...that and the fact that Yreka doesn't have any four story buildings and I don't have an assault rifle and nobody walks in Yreka (just like that Missing Persons song).
    4. Thus, I've been immersed in other things besides the dang Church on Thursday website lately. And, by the way...if you're in Yreka get yr coffee at The Village Grind on the corner of Oregon and Miner Streets. Then, if you're not a Yrekan (past or present) you can walk down Oregon St. And if you've ever listened to Burnside...you can see 520 North Oregon St. Or not.
Alright C.O.T. Agents (and Spies) that's all fer now (I'm a-goin' to the NRA fundraiser dinner)...but I will get back to updating the dang Blog. Plus, look for some new work and even exciting new contributors very very very soon. As ever, your Magnum Opiate, FELIX "Every act of creation, by its mere existence, denies the world of master and slave. The appalling society of tryants and slaves in which we survive will find its death and transfiguration only on the level of creation." -Camus, The Rebel
